The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) conducts research with teens who smoke and with teens who don’t use drugs of any kind.
If you are 13–17 years old, you may be able to join a NIDA research study. It’s free to join and you will be paid for your time and travel. If you don’t drive, NIDA can set up and pay for your travel at each visit.
After the first phone call, if you qualify for a study and agree to join, your parent/guardian will need to be told that you are participating. We will only contact your parent/guardian with your permission.
If you’re interested, please call us to find out more about the studies going on now.
